40-Hour Professional Mediation Training

This 40-hour mediation course is designed to acquaint participants with the philosophy, concepts, process model and specific behavioral skills needed for a working role as a beginning mediator. Master a collaborative, interest-based mediation model that will assist parties in conflict to find mutually agreeable solutions.

This is the foundation course for all DRC volunteer mediators. This class is also applicable for legal, mental health, and other professionals to satisfy the Standards for Collaborative Practice by the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals. CLE and ethics credits available.

Each class runs two consecutive weeks: Thursdays, 5 pm to 9 pm and both Friday and Saturday, 8:30 am to 5 pm.
