"Collaborative law is a topic which is new to me, so automatically, using conflict management coaching within it is also novel. I agree with you, Cinnie, that coaching aligns with the concept of collaborative negotiation. In your…"
Thanks for your reply. I agree with you that it is optimum for clients to explore what is going on internally prior to going to the external side of the merry-go-round. When I said sooner rather than later, I…"
"I think the analysis is very accurate of interpersonal conflicts and I imagine the right side as an undefined (maybe infinite) number of cycles until the boundary is finally (or quickly breached) and then the circle becomes bigger as the external…"
My name is Celia and I'm a Creighton NDR student working on my practicum. I'm drawn to the topic of conflict coaching partiallly because of the work I'm doing for my practicum with a non-profit that works with women…"
"Jo, I agree with your statement, "I think it has a lot to do with a change in mentality from individualism to collective well being and an understanding of the interdependence in all our relationships," wholeheartedly. I believe that…"
Perhaps because I am around it so often, but I have heard people actually say that- that's the way it is. And it's not limited to a$$holes either- I think an (almost) automatic response when feeling attacked is to strike back…"

"I have to say that it has been by experience that two general types of a-holes exist, 1. true a-holes, and 2. subtle a-holes. True a-holes treat everyone that way even their supervisors and they have a disregard for authority because they feel…"
"I like your perspective on the ***hole's humiliation. But I have to question how often the "light is shone on their dirty deeds" when Sutton's research/observations seems to indicate that witnesses are not willing to come to the…"

But I think the point that Sutton is getting at is that they don’t direct it toward their superiors because that could potentially cause problems for them as they try to advance themselves. I completely agree with “Test One” because it is all about the perception the person who just…See More
"Look at you all smiley and stuff. How'd did you find time to take a picture in between service and Blueline activities? I'm pretty bummed you won't be making the residency in July, but rest assured we'll all toast you (and…"
