A lot of people complain about the epidemic of teen violence, but a trauma doctor at Vanderbilt is doing something about it. Disturbed by the teen on teen violence he was seeing in the emergency room, orthopedic doctor Manny Sethi and his research team convinced Metro schools to give them access to the classroom.

They took a well-established conflict resolution program to students at ten Metro middle schools.' At the end, at least a third of the students said they felt better equipped to resolve heated situations without violence.
