ACR 2016 Annual Conference #ACR2016  Can’t Attend Live? Attend Virtually

We understand that some of you, for various reasons, will not be able to join us in Baltimore, MD during the 2016 Annual Conference.  While we cannot give you all the excitement, networking opportunities and skill building sessions planned. We are excited to announce the 2016 Annual Conference virtual track! This is the first time ACR has offered this type of participation.

On Thursday, September 29, 2016, individuals will be able to engage in a full day of conference activities online.  The program consist of:

  • 8:15 AM   Morning Plenary featuring Judge Michael Aloi, Federal Magistrate Judge and former President of ACR.
  • 10:15 AM   The first 90-minute workshop is Applying Information and Communication Technologies to Multiparty Conflict Resolution Process by Colin Rule and Jason Gershowiz
  • 1:45 PM  After the lunch break, Pattie Porter will host a special edition of The Texas Conflict Coach radio blog program.  The topic for the program is Â Virtual Exchange: Renewing Civic Engagement at a Time of Unprecedented Interconnectedness
  • 3:30 PM   The last workshop of the day is a presentation by the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, Here’s Looking at You—Targeting the Right Participants
  • 5:00 PM   We end the day with presentations by four 2016 New Voices. The New Voices: Emerging Professionals program selects, through a juried process, seven graduates or recent graduates to present a “Ted Talk like” presentation on research they had done and/or participated in.

Virtual participants will be fully engaged in each session, just as if they were in the room.  This is the first time ACR has offered the ability to join the conference in this way, so we are excited to see how it all comes to together. The cost is $95 for ACR members and $125 for non-members.

Join ACR at the 2016 Annual Conference September 28 – October 1, virtually or in person, at the Lord Baltimore Hotel.
