ADR Lunchtime Series: Denial, Deception, and Distortion - Working with Psychological Barriers to Resolve Workplace Conflicts

ADR LUNCHTIME SERIES
Denial, Deception, and Distortion - Working with Psychological Barriers to Resolve Workplace Conflicts

Drawing from her training and extensive experience with workplace conflict management at Federal agencies, Dr. Turner will discuss the psychological underpinnings of denial, and how to differentiate it from self-deception or distortion. Learn to identify "red flags" which would indicate that mediator skills are not sufficient. Dr. Turner will also identify techniques to address psychological barriers. If you've ever left a mediation session stymied by a participant's behavior, come join us to gain a greater understanding of what drives people to act in seemingly illogical ways.

Please provide a description of your most challenging situations in advance (see below) or bring your tough cases and questions to the discussion.
