Nearly half of all workers don’t negotiate job offers, according to CareerBuilder, which means pending hires may be leaving money -- or some other perk -- on the table.

According to the CareerBuilder Compensation Survey, 49 percent of workers accept the initial job offer without any negotiation, even though 45 percent of employers are more than willing to negotiate.

While nearly half don’t bother to negotiate, that means just over a half still are. However, the chutzpah to negotiate an initial job offer comes with age.
