Job Description

The Program Coordinator/Mediator provides oversight for Domestic Court Services' Supervised Exchange Program (SEP) and Supervised Visitation Program (SVP), including referrals from the Family Court judges, meeting with parents for enrollment and orientation in the program.  This position will ensure volunteer staff coverage for the program and submit reports to the Courts regarding client progress and record keeping including monthly and quarterly statistics.

  • Establishes and reviews program guidelines to ensure best practices, schedules program participants, provides intake services, and provides a secure environment for program participants.
  • Coordinates with Director to interview, check references, train and evaluate program staff and volunteers.
  • Develops, processes and maintains quarterly and monthly statistics and record keeping.  Records program data in the Justice Information Management System (JIMS) and oversees successfulness of programs. 
  • Develops and reviews program guidelines to ensure best practices and desired outcomes of other Domestic programs.
  • Records facts, observations and direct statements made by parties during visitations.  Provides progress and update reports to the Courts.
  • Provides mediation/conciliation services to parents in conflict.  Attend related training and meetings.

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Social Services or related field and Mediation Certification are required.  One (1) year previous Social Services experience working with families and youth required.
Master's degree in Social Services or related field preferred.
