One Click Mediation – The Experience of Community Mediation Centers in Australia – New 30-min Video

In 2015 the Dispute Resolution Branch (DRB) in Australia created an online mediation application process whereby clients can apply for mediation anywhere, anytime, anyplace. Due to an increasing demand by clients to be able access government services 24/7 the DRB had to look at innovative ways to increase accessibly. The DRB’s online mediation application has not only improved service accessibility, it also uniquely allows our clients the opportunity to prepare for mediations and tests matters for suitability.

In establishing the online application the DRB had clear objectives - the online application had to be quick, simple and easy to use. The online application provides our clients with information about mediation and increases client accessibility to existing mediation services.

In the first part of a new 30-min video, Jessica Zivec shows the online mediation application form developed by the Queensland’s Dispute Resolution Branch, and shares some statistics proving that clients find such online tool useful, convenient and easy to use.

In the second part of the video, Zivec presents also a new online tool for neighbor v. neighbor disputes.
