The American Bar Association is the largest voluntary professional association in the world, with more than
400,000 members. The ABA provides law school accreditation, continuing
legal education, information about the law, programs to assist lawyers
and judges in their work, and initiatives to improve the legal system

The Dispute Resolution Section Director provides overall management and direction to Dispute Resolution Members and Staff. This individual
provides leadership for all programmatic activities, including, but not
limited to: Committee Project Implementation, CLE Program Development,
Governance Management, Policy Creation, Legislative Efforts, Meeting
Planning, Membership Recruitment & Retention, Marketing Efforts,
Publication Input, Non-Dues Revenue Development and Budget
Responsibilities. When needed, participates as a leader on ABA
committees to provide leadership and guidance, serving as a resource on
issues of importance to the association.

Education: Bachelor's Degree from a four-year College or University, Master's/JD Degree is preferred.

Experience: 5 to 10 years of relevant managerial experience. Experience in one of
more of the following environments are preferred: association, legal,
and non-profit. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple
simultaneous responsiblities, along with effective communication
skills. Substantive experience in the Legal Field may be required.

Travel is required.
