Should HR Professionals Mediate Internal Workplace Disputes? – Webinar with John Ford – 1-Hour Video

On July 12, 2017 a large group of HR professionals and workplace mediators from around the world participated in Should HR Professionals Mediate Internal Workplace Disputes?, a 1-hour webinar hosted by Virtual Mediation Lab and sponsored by Mediate.com

This webinar was presented by John Ford, a professional workplace mediator in California, author of Peace at Work: The HR Manager’s Guide to Workplace Mediation and founder of The HR Mediation Academy.

During his presentation, Ford talked about the benefits of workplace mediation, according to research studies conducted in the USA and the United Kingdom. He then explained the most common arguments FOR and AGAINST allowing HR managers to mediate internal workplace disputes.

Two online polls, taken at the beginning and at the end of the webinar, showed that, after Ford’s explanation of those For/Against arguments, many webinar attendees changed their mind about the question: Should HR Professionals Mediate Internal Workplace Disputes?
