Skeptical About Online Mediation? Watch It, Try It, And Now Let's Talk About It - A New and Effective Approach by ACR Chicago and Virtual Mediation Lab

When a couple of months ago Mac Steele and Patty Stiles (Association for Conflict Resolution Chicago Chapter) asked me to present a webinar on Online Mediation for their members, I pointed out that just talking about Online Mediation is usually not enough. From my experience, it is better and more effective to allow experienced (and usually skeptical) face-to-face mediators to see Online Mediation in action, and let them try it for themselves.

As a result, Mac, Patty and I came up with this 3-step plan.

>> Step 1 (Watch It) - On September 18, 7 ACR Chicago members participated in a 1-Hour Hands-On Training on Online Mediation with PC Mac and Mobile Devices

>> Step 2 (Try It) - On October 25, 3 ACR Chicago members participated in an online mediation of a tenant - landlord dispute - http://goo.gl/pT7jlB

>> Step 3 (And Now Let's Talk About It) - On November 13, during a webinar on Online Mediation, ACR Chicago members will first hear and watch what we have done together. And then they will have the opportunity to ask their colleagues (and me) any additional questions on Online Mediation - http://goo.gl/a6rU4V
