Skilled Mediator Jed D. Melnick Joins JAMS Financial Markets Group

JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Jed D. Melnick, Esq. to its panel. Mr. Melnick will be based in the JAMS New York and Philadelphia Resolution Centers. He will specialize as a mediator for disputes in a variety of areas including Accounting/Finance, Banking, Bankruptcy, Business/Commercial, Class Action/Mass Torts, Government/Public Agency, Insurance, Professional Liability and Securities. In addition, he will become a member of the JAMS Financial Markets Group, a panel of neutrals highly experienced in resolving complex securities and financial markets disputes.

 

Most recently Mr. Melnick served as the managing mediator for the Weinstein Group, which is led by JAMS neutral Hon. Daniel Weinstein (Ret.). He has mediated more than 750 disputes, published articles on mediation, founded a nationally ranked dispute resolution journal and taught young mediators.

 

“Jed is an incredibly talented mediator,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO. “Not only has he mediated hundreds of cases valued in the billions of dollars, but he also helps design the process and tailors it to each unique, complex and highly sensitive case. We’re pleased to have him join our panel.”

Mr. Melnick graduated with his B.A. from Grinnell College in Iowa and received his J.D. from Benjamin Cardozo School of Law in New York. He will continue to serve as the managing mediator of the Weinstein Group.
