This course offers the fundamental skills you need to master the art of mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution by providing you with tools for effective and successful communication in your career and personal life.  You will learn about negotiation theory, strategies and tactics for negotiation, cross-cultural negotiation, and mediation. Course instructor, Dr. Alexandru Balas, was a UN spokesperson for the Millennium Development Goals (2006-2008) and a Delegate to the UN’s 61^st General Assembly, and currently researches issues of conflict resolution, peace studies and international organizations as a professor at SUNY Cortland.
