What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)

Extensive practice and and intensive training in arbitration and mediation over the past 20+ years, including broad course work in various aspects of arbitration (including AAA arbitrator training); extensive coursework in facilitative, evaluative, and transformative mediation techniques; representative recent mediation coursework (over 100 hours) includes study of breaking impasse in mediation, mediator ethics (objective standards and subjective practices), the art and future of mediation, and completed special transformative mediation further certification training 35-hour course through the Hofstra University School of Law Mediation Clinic and the Institute for the Study of Conflict Transformation in January 2009; regularly teach CLE courses in arbitration and mediation to lawyers, arbitrators, and mediators; represented clients in varied business mediations over the past two decades; and served as neutral arbitrator or mediator in diverse business cases during the past decade -- matters have involved numerous closely-held and family businesses with all of the attendant issues that arise when the business owners are related or otherwise involved beyond the business or professional practice, as well as businesses and professional practices ranging from solopreneurs to substantial medium-sized businesses.

I truly enjoy arbitration and mediation, and look to serve as mediator or arbitrator in business cases whenever I can. I provide information and education to business owners and lawyers about how ADR can help them in their lives and practices. And I continually am involved in the process of learning more about ADR all the time by reading, taking coursework, and conferring with my ever-expanding network of ADR colleagues.
