Profile Information

What is your profession and title?
Attorney, Mediator & Collaborative Attorney, NY & NJ
What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
Mediator since 1999 with training initially at Rutgers University. Collaborative Law practitioner since 2007.

I have also had training in Estate and Elder Care mediation and have handled several cases which have involved disabled children and adults who despite chronological age still need to be planned for in divorce settlements.

My two-state practice of law has helped me to expand my toolbox of suggestions where clients may be stuck. Where appropriate I use humor to help to normalize conflict and co-presented on the subject at an ACR-GNY conference in 2013.
What, if any, ADR organizations or groups do you belong to?
Association for Conflict Resolution of Greater New York

New Jersey Association of Professional Mediators

New York State Council on Divorce Mediation

International Academy of Collaborative Professionals

New Jersey Collaborative Law Group

LGBTQ Collaborative Professionals of NYC
What are you hoping to get from ADRhub.com
I would like a broadening of scope of mediation knowledge, contacts and ideas. I have looked at ADRHUB and like what I see
Do you/your company have a website?
http://www.ehnissen.com
What other ADR related sites do you visit?
I'm on several list-serves and follow through to articles and links, Mediation.com and others.
What else do you want to tell the ADRhub.com community (what you are up to, what you would like to do in ADR, etc.)
As a practitioner of ADR and law in two different states I have an expansive sense of possibilities when my input is requested to resolve issues. Before I practiced law I worked in many different jobs and fields and this has helped me grasp the realities of my clients' day-to-day lives.
