Since 2009: Researcher, Tilburg Institute for Interdisciplinary Studies of Civil Law and Conflict Resolution Systems (TISCO)

As a researcher for TISCO, I have been involved in the development of an online tool for legal triage. I was responsible for research, facilitation, functional design, and project management (Agile/Scrum).

2005-2009: PhD student and Researcher, Tilburg Institute for Law, Technology, and Society (TILT)

With TILT, I have had the opportunity to do extensive research into the potential of online tools to support dispute resolution processes. At the same time, I was involved in the development of a number of online dispute resolution applications.



2011 – PhD degree in Law, Tilburg University

On june 15th, 2011 I have succesfully defended my PhD thesis  Getting to :-) The potential of online text-based communication to support interest-based dispute resolution. More information on this work can be found here.

2005 – Masters Degree in Artificial Intelligence, Utrecht University

I hold a master’s degree in Artificial Intelligence, with a specialization in knowledge-based systems. An paper based on my my thesis, A Protocol for Arguing About Rejections in Negotiation, was published and is availablehere.
