Profile Information

What is your profession and title?
I work as a Creative Community Liaison at a prison reentry program, within the community corrections arena.
What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
I interned in the University of California at Santa Barbara Office of the Ombudsman from 1998 to 2000. I have also facilitated ADR sessions as a paralegal, reentry case manager and as an employer.
What, if any, ADR organizations or groups do you belong to?
Presently, I am not a member of any groups other than ADRHub. However, I am continuing to research various groups with which to align myself. I recognize the need and importance of being affiliated with organizations which can provide information on current practices and standards.
What are you hoping to get from ADRhub.com
I hope to be able to align myself with people and organizations which will aid me in achieving my goals and objectives in the ADR arena. Since I perceive ADR to be a more effective and less harmful means of dispute resolution, it is something about which I have been very passionate for many years.
What other ADR related sites do you visit?
At this juncture, I am exploring every site that I can locate online, in journals and through referral.
What else do you want to tell the ADRhub.com community (what you are up to, what you would like to do in ADR, etc.)
Presently, I am working with a nonprofit organization which is oriented towards assisting in the reentry processes of inmates within the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, specifically those men housed at both the Ironwood and Chuckwalla State Prisons. However, I work with women and youth also. Without a holistic approach, the correctional system is doomed to failure because the family must be incorporated into the process of reintegration. I am eagerly anticipating engaging like-minded individuals in thought provoking and illuminating dialogue.
