Profile Information

What is your profession and title?
Attorney-Mediator
What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
I am a full-time mediator and have mediated over 1,500 disputes. I have completed the basic training class of the Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution, as well as the required training class to become an authorized mediator for the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska. I have attended other seminars and presented at other seminars on various ADR topics. I conduct over 250 mediations annually on virtually all types of litigated disputes from business disputes, to personal injury/wrongful death disputes, disputes involving FELA, FLSA collective actions, class actions, employment and labor disputes, professional negligence claims, etc.
What, if any, ADR organizations or groups do you belong to?
I am a member of the International Academy of Mediators, the American College of Civil Trial Mediators, the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, the the American Academy of ADR Attorneys. I am an approved mediator for ADR Systems of America, Mediation Works, Inc., and Resolute Systems. I am on the boards of the Nebraska Mediation Association and Nebraska Office of Dispute Resolution. I am approved mediator for the Federal and Bankruptcy courts in Nebraska.
What are you hoping to get from ADRhub.com
I am interested in networking with other professionals who have decided to practice mediation, arbitration, and/or other ADR processes as their primary career. I am also interested in following the success of the Werner Institute as it expands its reach as one of the top ADR educational sites in the US.
Do you/your company have a website?
http://www.kutakrock.com/mediation/mullin
What other ADR related sites do you visit?
I occasionally read articles on Mediate.com. I also occasionally read blogs written by other ADR practitioners that I have found on the internet.
What else do you want to tell the ADRhub.com community (what you are up to, what you would like to do in ADR, etc.)
I have found my mediation practice to be a particularly exciting and fulfilling way to practice law. I encourage all those considering a career in ADR to keep pursuing their goals and dreams. Although it has taken me a long time (i.e., over 10 years) and a lot of hard work to become a full-time mediator, it was more than worth the time and effort.
