What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
Since 1972 consensus building training and community development work with AFSC in Appalachia then professionally
since 1980 while in law school (Rutgers Law Newark) focused on ADR, consensus building, mediation, alternatives to litigation, collaborative problem solving, et al.
Initial trainings were in 1981. Worked @ National Institute for Dispute Resolution (NIDR) 1985, 1988-1994, The Agreement Zone (1995-2007), mediator mentor/leadership coach- Harvard School Public Health Program on Healthcare Negotiation & Conflict Resolution, Public Decisions Network, World Foundation for Environment & Development 2000, Mercer Street Friends Center 2001-02, University of Hawai'i 2002-03, Center for Global Nonkilling 2007-2011, Highwood Insights.
Foci have been mediation/facilitation of complex, multiparty public policy challenges; systems design and implementation of state offices of mediation; adr innovations; strategic venture philanthropy; futures visioning; leadership training and development; violence prevention, mentoring, peacemaking leadership, global leadership academies for young leaders from conflict zones, editing, fundraising. Have worked with hundreds of groups & leaders in ADR and related fields locally, states, regional, national and international.
