What is your ADR experience? (trainings and education)
I worked in child protection, adoption and foster care [including designing and facilitating parenting groups and foster and adoption education ]for several years in Ontario and then returned to BC to get my MSW and qualify for the Child Protection Mediator Roster [2001]. I have also done parent/teen and family mediation and some counselling.
What, if any, ADR organizations or groups do you belong to?
Mediate BC
What are you hoping to get from ADRhub.com
A greater comfort in participating on-line and keeping current on mediation ideas, training and opportunities in vrious jurisdictions.
What else do you want to tell the ADRhub.com community (what you are up to, what you would like to do in ADR, etc.)
Because I am now planning to spend about half my time in Ottawa, I am trying to get mediation work in Ontario [Ottawa area] and am finding it challenging . Due to provincially based requirements it is hard to qualify for professional standing in mediation across provincial boundaries despite having lengthy experience in equivalent work.
