Yes...it's true, everyone has a story.  I have a story, you have a story, your friend has a story, even your enemy has a story.  Everyone has a story.  Agreed?

When I sit down with people everyone has a story.  These stories usually are conflicting stories and each person believes that their story is the truth.  I also formulate a story from these stories...then there is a 'story' that actually happened out there somewhere.  One thing that I try to do is to get people to see the other person's story...whether they believe it or not, then both people/parties can formulate a new story together.  One thing that I love about the video below is the last two cards that Jordan holds up....I'm not going to write them...but take a look at them and let them sink in.

I know this video isn't talking about mediation or conflict (well...kind of about conflict for sure...) specifically, but I think it is something that will help all of us in our next conflictual (yes I created a new word) situation.  Take a look and let me know what you think down in the comments section!
