Expertise in Online Mediation, new International Course starting Oct. 16, 2013

This fully online international course is a novelty among all the existing mediation training programs and it is aimed at ensuring the provision of highly qualified effective experts in the electronic environment.  Upon completion of this course, students will have developed competence in the technological domains associated with the areas of negotiation, mediation and conciliation.  The multidisciplinary nature of this program makes this course of a strong practical orientation.

 

It is aimed primarily at practitioners who aspire to have a highly qualified training profile in this important area of management and dispute resolution.

 

This international course of specialisation is justified by the interest of mediation organisations and institutions to have experts who master the techniques, strategies and skills within the electronic field.

Academic program include: Scope, taxonomy and ODR areas of expertise, Stakeholders and skills. Accountability. E-commerce for businesses and consumers (B2B, B2C). An analysis of the international legal framework.Practice of online negotiation and mediation. Simulations and practicum.

Instructors are the most prominent university lecturers and professors who are worldwide experts in the field of online dispute resolution (ODR), led by Professor Ethan Katsh, internationally recognized as the “father” of ODR:

Prof. Pablo Cortés,  Senior lecturer at  Leicester University UK.

Prof. Jeff Aresty, President of the International Bar Organization (IBO),

Prof. Daniel Rainey, Associate professor at Southern Methodist University,

Prof. David Larson, Senior lecturer at University of Hamline. USA.
