BOSTON – JAMS, the largest private provider of mediation and arbitration services worldwide, today announced the addition of Hon. Paul E. Troy (Ret.) to its panel.  Judge Troy will be based in the JAMS Boston Resolution Center.  He will serve as a mediator and arbitrator within multiple practice areas, including business/commercial litigation, construction, employment, insurance, personal injury/product liability/torts, professional liability and real estate.

Judge Troy brings more than 42 years of diverse legal expertise to JAMS, having served as an Associate Justice for the Massachusetts Superior Court and in private practice.  He also spent time in the United States Attorney’s Office in Boston, as an Adjunct Professor for the Northeastern University School of Law and served as Chair of the Superior Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee.

“We are pleased to welcome Judge Troy to our revered panel of neutrals,” said Chris Poole, JAMS president and CEO.  “His well respected reputation in the legal industry as a fair and conscientious judge will make him a great fit at JAMS.”

“I have a lot of admiration for the judicial system overall, and my years of experience on and off the bench have taught me to understand the importance of all parties involved in the legal process,” said Judge Troy. “I very much look forward to joining JAMS as a neutral and further engaging in the mediation and arbitration process.”

Judge Troy received his B.A. in Philosophy from St. John’s Seminary, and his J.D. from Suffolk University Law School after serving as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army in Vietnam.
