ADR Group First International Training in Online Mediation with Virtual Mediation Lab

From December 2014 to February 2015, ADR Group, a London-based leading authority in dispute resolution, trained 20 experienced mediators from the UK, Greece and France to mediate online, by participating in a series of online mediation simulations.

Delivered by the ADR GROUP faculty, Rahim Shamji and Tom Valenti, and Giuseppe Leone of Virtual Mediation Lab - http://goo.gl/dnc0Y - that pilot program was a great success. As a result, ADR Group has just announced the first International Online Mediation Training Course (IOM).

It is designed for already qualified mediators from around the world, who have completed a minimum 40 hour training course with a competent mediation training organization. The IOM training will take place from Monday, May 18 to Friday, May 22, 2015 and is set out as 12 hours of training — a 1 1/2 hour opening session to learn the techniques, followed by three 3-hour online mediation simulations, in groups of three, followed by a 1 1/2 hour feedback/wrap-up session. There are two trainers in the first and last sessions, and one during the simulations.

Upon successful completion of the IOM course, participants will earn the title "Accredited Online Dispute Resolution Mediator", and will have the opportunity to undertake advanced training courses with Virtual Mediation Lab on a one to one basis.
