Presenter Bios:

Warren Baker facilitates and mediates disputes with a concentration in the family business arena and a national practice based in the Chicago. He has facilitated or mediated in a wide-range of subject areas and disputes including commercial, family, family enterprise, employment, elder, healthcare and probate. After 35 years advising high net-worth families and their commercial enterprises as their lead counsel, Warren founded The Family Business Fulcrum, a mediation, advisory and consulting business, focused on conflict avoidance and resolution for family-owned businesses and their owners, single and multi-family offices, bank and independent trust companies and wealth management firms. Warren Chairs ACR’s Commercial Section and serves on its Advisory Council. He has founded and leads the Family-Owned Business Group of the Commercial Section. Through his role on the Executive Committee, Warren also leads the Midwest Chapter of the Family Firm Institute (FFI) and serves as its Program Chair. Warren received his formal Mediation training at Northwestern University and is a Certified Family Business Advisor, with his Certificate from FFI. Warren has presented on innumerable topics in

the field of conflict avoidance and dispute resolution to ADR conferences, single and multi-family offices, family businesses, banks and independent trust companies. Richard Lutringer mediates commercial, business, probate and employment disputes, as well as disputes among small business owners and family-owned businesses and probate disputes in New York City and Southern California.

Richard is certified as a commercial mediator by CEDR (London), IMI, and the American Arbitration Association and is on the mediation panels of the CPR, Federal District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court, the New Jersey Superior Court and Community Mediation Services, Inc. Mr. Lutringer has served as a member of the board of directors of NYSDRA and ACR chapter for Greater NYC. He is currently Chair of the Mediation Advisory Committee of the New York County Surrogate’s Court, as well as Chair of the Desert Professional Development Group of the Southern California Mediation Association and holds a Certificate on Family Business Advising from the Family Firm Institute.

Matthew L. Caras, J.D.,is a founder, principal and managing director of Leaders LLC, a mergers and acquisitions firm with a nationwide practice. He also provides services as a mediator and neutral negotiation facilitator in the context of transactions involving family-owned businesses. Mr. Caras received his formal mediation training at Harvard Law School (PON) and Northwestern University.
