Job Posting: Mediator at International Monetary Fund, Washington, DC

The IMF is creating a new Mediation office to resolve employee issues. This development is one of a series of changes being implemented after a Staff Survey.

The Mediator will be entirely independent from the IMF. The aim of the role is to resolve issues between the Fund and Fund employees. It is envisaged that the role may mix individual case activity with outreach to train managers. The Mediator will have a good deal of freedom to define how the function will work and interact with the rest of the Fund. The function will have an onsite office and administrative support.

We seek a minimum of 10 years of relevant mediation experience. The role however, is likely to be filled with someone with at least 25 years of experience in a relevant area: law, HR etc.

Remuneration will be pro rata for the hours performed which is envisaged to be 20 per week. The role is at Grade B3 (Assistant Director) consistent with the IMF Ombudsman and Chief Ethics Officer. The full range of benefits - including ex-patriate benefits - are applicable to this role.

The role is sponsored by the IMF Managing Director, Ms. Christine Lagarde. Interested candidates can read a full description and submit applications to www.imf.org/jobs #1200541 by Friday July 13th.
