For those of you lucky enough to be in or near Boston on August 20, 2011, check out this gallery talk titled "Conflict/Resolution."

This gallery talk, led by guest lecturer Beth Pugliano, will focus on representations of conflict and violence, and their happier conclusions of resolution and reconciliation.  As we examine works in which one or both sides of these human interactions appear, we will consider how conflict and resolution in art at times relate to larger societal customs and circumstances pertaining to violence and its outcomes.
