The public, historically black university in Montgomery has opened a search for its first Student Ombudsman. The full-time position will apparently report to the Office of the Provost and serve a student population of about 5,600. ASU has not had any kind of Ombuds program before.  Applicants must have a PhD or JD and three years of experience working with students as a college/university Ombuds, mediator, administrative director or retention specialist in academics or student affairs. No deadline or salary indicated. (ASU Jobs.)
