Negotiation teacher? Mediation trainer? If so, you certainly use simulation-games in your work, often. interested in knowing how effective they are? Want ideas for improving them - or replacing them with new teaching activities?

Check out this paper (you can download the full text version), co-authored with Dan Druckman and recently presented at the Inernational Association for Conflict Management's conference in Cape Town. We didn't suffice with publicly daring to raise the notion that the field's primary teaching tool might not be as effective as we all think. We also took a trip out into the field to befriend and pet cheetahs. But that's another story.

Meanwhile, we'd love to hear your thoughts on the paper. If you like it, check out the presentation here.
