New Negotiation, Conflict & Mediation Research

Gender and Negotiation:

In Negotiating While Female, Andrea Schneider of Marquette University takes on the prevailing ethos conveniently blaming the woman and her alleged inability to negotiate. The article argues that blaming women for any lack of negotiation skills or efforts is inaccurate and that prevailing perceptions about women and negotiation are myths.  The article and identifies structural changes that might encourage negotiation and reduce the gender pay gap.

The Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution (MD-ICCCR) at Teachers College is seeking to hire a qualified candidate with advanced skills in research management, design, methodology, statistics, and data analysis for a 20-35 hour/week commitment. This paid position will provide support and consulting expertise to students and staff conducting research in the MD-ICCCR lab with Dr. Peter T. Coleman. AMERICAN ARBITRATION ASSOCIATION - INTERNATIONAL CENTRE FOR DISPUTE RESOLUTION FOUNDATION GRANTS: The AAA-ICDR Foundation is now accepting Initial Descriptions of Grant Requests for its fourth funding cycle. In its review the Foundation will be focusing on innovative and replicable proposals that provide:

  • ADR for vulnerable and underserved populations
  • ADR for community focused dispute resolution.
