CALL FOR ARTICLE PROPOSALS

ACResolution Magazine Fall 2010

The theme of ACResolution's Fall 2010 issue is "Mind Matters: Emotional, Cognitive & Biological Influences on Conflict." This issue of ACResolution will focus on what we are learning about how our brains and biology influence the ways we identify, respond to, and process social conflict.

Article proposals may address topics such as the human experience of conflict as it relates to neurobiology, the physiology of emotions, cognitive styles, evolutionary biology, personality types/styles, and other related concepts. We particularly welcome proposals that help mediators, negotiators, conflict resolution trainers, conflict coaches, and other ADR professionals understand how individual characteristics (i.e., how we're "wired") influence conflict management practice.

The ACResolution Editorial Committee seeks proposals on any aspect of the chosen theme. We seek diversity in authors and subject matter, and authors should refrain from self-promotion in the submission of articles. Authors do not have to be ACR members and we encourage you to forward this email to non-members who may be interested.

If interested, please submit an article proposal in a Microsoft Word document as follows:

1. Title and description of proposed article, 300 words maximum.

2. Indication of preference for writing a major (2,700 words) or minor (1,300 words) feature.

3. Author names, postal mailing address, email, and daytime telephone.

4. Brief bio, up to 75 words, of each author.

Send your proposal via e-mail with the subject heading "Fall 2010 ACResolution Proposal" to publications@ACRnet.org by 28 June 2010.

The ACResolution Editorial Committee will review and select proposals. We will notify authors by 12 July and selected articles will be due to ACR by 23 August.
