The public university in St. Catharines, Ontario is hiring a Student
Ombudsperson. The position reports to the Brock University Students’
Union Board of Directors and serves a student population of 17,000.

Applicants should hold a university degree of college diploma, have at
least a year of experience and be eligible to work in Canada. In
addition, the Student Ombuds should "be willing to be an active member
of professional associations, in particular, the Association of
Canadian College and University Ombudspersons, in order to stay up to
date on critical ombuds’ issues such as confidentiality and
privilege." The application deadline is July 9, 2010. No salary
indicated. (Brock U Jobs.)

Critical update:  The job posting is somewhat ambigous, but does
indicate that this is a one-year appointment.
