Earn a certificate in Narrative Mediation in HealthCare

Dr. Gerald Monk is a pioneering theorist and practitioner in Narrative Mediation. This is an outstanding skill to use when mediating conflict. Dr. Monk has co-authored many books, including his latest “When Stories Clash: Addressing Conflict through Narrative Mediation” (2013).

Narrative Mediation has moved from theory to practice in its application in a wide range of conflict settings and has found very useful and practical application in the health care community. Dr. Monk will teach you how to use narrative skills in medical arena conflicts and you will earn a certificate in the contextual and cultural elements at play in the medical arena and the costly consequences of unaddressed conflict in health care settings. Participants in this workshop will also receive a complimentary signed copy of Dr. Monk’s book.

Non-members of the Health Care Section are welcome to attend this training as well, since the narrative skills learned are transferable to other areas of dispute management and conflict resolution. Don’t miss this important program!

Cost $60. Register for this certificate through conference registration.

Find out more about this Workshop by listening to Dr. Gerald Monk and Dr. Barbara Sunderland Manousso, Health Care Chair, on ACR Blog Radio at www.acrannualconference.org.
