The Dialogue Project

 

The Dialogue Project is a grassroots, Brooklyn-based non-profit organization that facilitates dialogue amongst Diaspora Palestinians and Israelis, Jewish-Americans, Arabs Muslims and Christians, and supportive others in diverse communities and schools throughout New York City. Outreach to Arab/Muslim, Jewish and immigrant communities.

The Dialogue Project offers an Office Intern position which can provide undergraduate or graduate credit. This position is particularly suited for International affairs, social work, conflict resolution, education, Middle East, political science, and religious studies majors.

Skills: Proficient with MS Word and Outlook 2007; familiar with Excel and Access. Good phone voice/manner. Knowledge of Arabic helpful.

1-1.5 days per week.
Responsibilities include: Managing Microsoft Office/Outlook data system, foundation research, and office administrative tasks. Some interfaith/cultural outreach activities are also part of this position.
