The Alliance for Peacebuilding

AfP is seeking a part-time intern to help administer a partnership project with the United States Institute of Peace. The intern's primary responsibility is to assist staff in the launching of a new partnership project: the Peacebuilding Evaluation Project: A Forum for Donors and Implementation. Basic duties include assistance with meeting logistics, travel arrangements, telecommunications set-up, and drafting external communications.

Qualifications:
At least three years completed college coursework, preferably four years * Strong computer skills, including internet research and high proficiency in Word * Enthusiasm and commitment to the organization’s mission * Proactive, independent and team-oriented work ethic * Excellent writing skills and attention to detail * Ability manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines * Interest or background in conflict prevention and resource development.

Internship (8-14 hrs/wk) will accommodate a flexible schedule. Internship will start in February 2010 end in April/May 2011, preference will be given to candidates that can commit to the entire internship time period.

Small monthly stipend.
