two years later as I'm updating my profile I realized that I never replied to your comment.  So sorry!  I've left MIT after 5 years, and I guess my one line take away would be that you need to build something that fits the culture of your institution.  My approach was to throw out lots of seeds and cultivated the ones that started to bloom.  I'm happy to talk more if you're still interested.  Ruthy

I hope this is the right forum to bring up this topic and inspire some exchange. I am a person who likes to utilize power point when I do workshops in conflict resolution, at least to keep me speaking in a linear manner.
