Building Trust & Rapport With Robin Dreeke (FBI)

Building rapport is one of the most important skills a mediator must be able to properly develop in order to be effective.  It is one of the main aspects of my PhD research and many others before me have explored this within the context of mediation as well.

Time for Another Big Bang in Alternative Dispute Resolution

Cinnie NobleThe following description of the words “woulda coulda shoulda” sometimes applies to the experience of being in conflict: “For many people, there is a clear distinction between what actually happened and what they wished would have happened in a given situation. When our attentional capacity becomes depleted, this negatively impacts our mood and behaviours. And, even when we are very interested in it and the information is welcomed and helpful to us, we can become cranky and irritable and generally difficult.
