Mindful Children Creating Peace
Lynsee Swisher- As I was doing some research about peer mediation, I came across an article about Jackson Elementary in Mineola, NY. Milissa Seymour is one of the teacher's who has introduced a variety of concepts into the school to help promote peace.

Grade by grade, they teach different skills like peer mediation, negotiating, and conflict resolution. Learning these skills at such a young age, may potentially ensure that these are life longtools that these children will carry into their adult lives.

Beating Skeptics
Jeff Thompson- Ever find yourself explaining the mediation, conflict coaching or ombuds process to people who seem to be skeptical of the process?
Okay, if you said no, either you are very new to the field or somehow magically mastered the process of convincing people to love it before you even have to explain it.

I Remember When
Jason Dykstra- So Christmas has come and gone, we went to some family things, talked to some friends, and maybe have a few family things lingering yet. I'm willing to bet that over this holiday season somebody said something that made you think, "Why would they think that?" Or maybe you were thinking, "How did they form that opinion?" I'm willing to throw it out there that everyone had some sort of experience like this. Why? Because we all have different stories, opinions, lives.
