Apparently Watson is making progress in being utilized in the medical world! We watched Watson play Jeopardy in our Systems class. The funniest part was when he repeated the wrong answer another player had just said!

As an avid fan of Jeopardy, I looked forward to watching the Watson episodes.

Something that struck me was when he gave an incorrect answer, I think it was Christchurch, New Zealand, we were able to see how it processed the potential answers and how, from my human brain, it did not follow the logic we do in determining the choice of answer.

What does that mean?  Who knows, but in an attempt to connect it to our profession, it reminds me how although we can have what might seem like the greatest ODR computer created program, nothing can replace the "human factor."

If computers start showing empathy, we are in trouble!
