Statement by FMCS Director George H. Cohen on NFL-NFLRA Agreement By Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service

Did anyone know that federal mediators helped resolve the much publicized NFL -referee dispute? (bold added by me):

/PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- "With the announcement of an agreement between the NFL and the NFL Referees Association, I wish to congratulate both parties on behalf of the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service for resolving their differences and for their commitment to and trust in the process of collective bargaining. We know that the successful resolution of this high profile dispute also will be greeted enthusiastically by the dedicated professional athletes throughout the NFL and the millions of devoted fans."

"I also wish to commend the extraordinary efforts of FMCS Deputy Director Scot L. Beckenbaugh and FMCS Commissioner Peter Donatello for their vital part in assisting the NFL and NFLRA in achieving this result."

Nice find Jeff, this provides another sign that the average person is more affected by mediation than they may realize.
