Return of the Jedi Negotiators:  Jen Reynold and Noam Ebner have co-edited a second volume in their successful series, Star Wars & Conflict Resolution II: My Negotiations Will Not Fail. The book, published by DRI Press, brings  26 experts on negotiation and conflict resolution to bear on the Star Wars saga.

Managing Conflict Mindfully: Prof. Leonard Riskin has written a new book. In Managing Conflict Mindfully: Don't Believe Everything You Think  he combines his work on negotiation,  mindfulness and Internal Family Systems to  explain our inner workings during negotiation and conflict interactions. 

Rethinking Mediation: In this talk, Ava Abramowitz - former assistant US attorney, mediator, and lecturer at George Washington University Law School - suggests looking to other fields for input on resolving disputes through mediation.

Yoda, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Darth Vader on conflict resolution: In Star Wars and Conflict Resolution, edited by Noam Ebner & Jen Reynolds and published by DRI press, 25 conflict experts discuss a galaxy far, far away as well as issues closer to home.

New Book on ODR: Dan Rainey's Integrating Technology into Your Dispute Resolution Practice: Making Friends with the Fourth Party, is a practical guide to ODR. Read the introduction here.

New Book on ODR: Transformacao Digital com ODR, edited by Alberto Elisavetsky and Celeida Laporta and coordinated by Maria Victoria Marun, comprises chapters on different aspects of ODR in Spanish and Portuguese. 

Online Dispute Resolution Bibliography: The National Center for Technology and Dispute Resolution has published a comprehensive bibliography for publications in the field of ODR. 

Awards and Scholarships

The AAA-ICDR Foundation has established a Diversity Scholarship Fund. The fund grants diverse law students/professionals up to $2,000 of financial assistance towards participation in a degree program, fellowship, or conference in/on alternative dispute resolution.

Teaching and Learning Resources 

Laboratory for Advancing Dispute Resolution Skills and Practice:  Mitchell Hamline School of Law's Dispute Resolution Institute has established this new center. One of its projects is maintaining the teaching resources database providing educators with free, tried-and-tested teaching resources.

Real Mediation Practice Systems Project: Prof. John Lande's project focusing on mediation systems, which are the combination of factors affecting what mediators do before, during, and after mediation sessions has produced multiple resources that educators can use with their students and mediation programs can use to develop their practitioner's skills. 

The Morton Deutsch International Center for Cooperation and Conflict Resolution has created a database compiling executive summaries of research articles on conflict resolution, taking a theory-to-practice perspective.  

ADR Video Collections: In this post on Indisputably, John Lande lists a number of video collections for teachers, students, practitioners and practitioners in the field of dispute resolution as well as for disputants and attorneys. Many of them are available free of charge.
